Lot No: 7Lot title: Foster Carer Training

1)Short description

The aim of the Foster Carer training is to enable foster carers to be competent to render first aid at work by providing training that is based upon that specified in the Health and Safety Executive guidance document (The First Aid at work Regulations 1981; Guidance on the Regulations, L74 [Latest edition], as an emergency first aid at work (EFAW) course, but inclined towards first aid issues most likely to affect babies, children and teenagers. Thus the course would have an emphasis on: resuscitation (including practical’s) for babies, children and teenagers; choking; burns and scalds, nose bleeds, wounds and dressings (including practical) and broken bones. There would, for example, be less emphasis on illnesses of older people, e.g. heart attack, stroke.
