Public Health and Joint Commissioning (adult social care) wish to commission an innovative sexual health service for adults in line with national Department of Health guidelines, with a contract start date 1.4.2016.
The service will consist of a sexual health prevention and promotion service (lot 1) and an HIV peer and psychosocial support service (lot 2). It is envisaged that the providers of these two lots will work closely together to ensure a joined-up pathway of support for people in Camden and Islington.

1)Short description

The objective for Lot 1 is as follows:
— promote positive sexual health and relationships,
— contribute to a reduction in HIV and sexually transmitted infection (STI) incidence by increasing knowledge and skills about positive sexual health,
— increase the capacity of individuals to make informed decisions,
— increase access to quality information around prevention and testing services
— increase the capacity of specific organisations that may have contact or involvement with the target adult population.
— Reduce the incidence of late diagnoses of HIV.

Lot No: 2 Lot title: Peer and psycho social support for people living with HIV

1)Short description

The objective for Lot 2 is as follows:
— provide peer support and mentoring services to people living with HIV
— support people with the psychological impacts of an HIV diagnosis (including the impacts on relationships) and promote positive mental health
— provide education and support around transmission and safer sex
— support people to self-manage their condition, including increasing understanding of medication
— support people to maintain or re-enter employment.
