Lancashire County Council together with health commissioners are seeking to appoint a provider to undertake the Recovery Orientated Substance Misuse Treatment Services in Central Lancashire. Substance Misuse Services in Central Lancashire are changing. Our vision is to build on the integrated community and prison drug and alcohol treatment service and develop an integrated prison (clinical and non-clinical) service, clearly focussed on the principles of recovery and the further development of service user led treatment programmes in Central Lancashire. Central Lancashire is comprised of four districts, Preston, Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire. 3 prisons are included: HMP Preston (local), HMP Garth (Cat B) and HMP Wymott (Cat C). The successful provider will: – have a proven track record in delivering recovery orientated services that creates a positive culture for both service users and the workforce, – recognise the importance of the wider family and community and focus on the social re-integration of service users. – have a proven track record and demonstrable effectiveness of working in partnership at strategic and local levels.
