PLEASE NOTE This is NOT a Competitive Contract Notice but for information purposes only to alert Providers to a forthcoming opportunity to supply quotes for the above Service. To participate in this quotation process you will need to go into http://supplyhertfordshire.g2b.info/hpf/ and register, thereafter you will be issued with a USERNAME and PASSWORD Once officially advertised you will then be alerted of the opportunity. Background to the Requirement: Reducing Harm caused by Alcohol has been adopted as one of the nine key priorities within Hertfordshire’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy. Plans to reduce the harm caused by alcohol combine actions recommended in the current local Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, Alcohol Strategy for Hertfordshire and the Health and Wellbeing Board Alcohol priority The overarching aim of this Service is to provide an alcohol specific evening and weekend telephone counselling service accessible to the community of Hertfordshire. Hertfordshire County Council will be requesting quotation submissions from Providers who are able to deliver this Service. Applicants will be required to demonstrate an understanding of evidence based interventions for adult alcohol misuse, the complexity of problems experienced by adult alcohol users, the impact on carers/families and local communities and the importance of partnership approaches. It is anticipated that the Contract will commence on the 1st August 2014 and will continue for one (1) year with a possible extension of up to a further one (1) year, dependent on funding, performance and flexibility to meet changing demands Providers are invited to express an interest in submitting a quote to deliver this Service by emailing Natasha.welsh@hertfordshire.gov.uk by noon on the 16.5.2014
