The aim of Ambition Working is to seek and sustain participants in their work placement, job and ultimately in their career.

 

The key objectives in delivering this service are to:

 

·         Recruit and assess young people resulting in a Career Development Plan.

 

·         Provide a keyworker and in-work support (minimum of 26 weeks) service to all young people based on the results of the assessment.

 

·         Deliver Get Ready for Ambition during the first four weeks of the programme (2 days per week).

 

·         Deliver Career Development during the remaining weeks of the programme (2 days per week).

 

·         Source, identify and match young people to work experience placements.

 

·         Source, identify and match young people to work vacancies and match young people.

 

·         Support the achievement of progression within the work place.

 

·         Support the employer to be ‘An Employer of Choice’ by:

 

o   Selling the benefits of a skilled and diverse workforce

o   Encourage the use of JCP services and provision

o   Encourage the use of the Disability Symbol – ‘Two Ticks’ standard.

o   Encourage the sign up to Mindful Employer.
