The Trust is seeking to appoint external auditors who will effectively and efficiently meet the requirements of the ‘Audit Code for NHS Foundation Trusts’ (Monitor, revised 2011) and any subsequent revisions. In particular (but not exclusively), Tenderer’s will be required to demonstrate how they would meet:

The appointment of the Trust’s current auditor expires at the completion of the audit for the year ending 31.3.2015. The Trust is therefore seeking to appoint an external auditor for the year ending 31.3.2016 with a view to reappointment for up to 5 years in total, subject to satisfactory performance.
Tenderers will be invited to make a presentation during their interview to the Audit Committee, which is scheduled to take place in April 2015.

1. The contract will be for an initial period of 12 months with the possibility of re appointment for up to a maximum period of 5 years commencing in April 2015 subject to satisfactory performance.
The Trust reserves the right at its sole discretion not to extend the contract period any further beyond the initial 12 month period.

2. The PQQ will be available upon request from jconnolly2@tavi-port.nhs.uk from the date of despatch of this notice until the date and time specified in section IV 3.4. Participation in the tender will be by way of the full completion and timely return of the PQQ by the date and time specified in section IV 3.4.

3. It is anticipated that the invitation to tender (ITT) will be issued to short listed tenderers on or around the end of January 2015/beginning of February 2015. The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust reserve the right to vary these or any other procurement time-scales or arrangements.
The bidding organisations will be required to provide prices to support their proposal at the tender stage.
