Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council) requires suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to provide Tree maintenance services to the Council. The Council currently maintains approximately 30 000 trees across the Borough, those owned and managed by itself and also trees owned by the Highway’s authority, Herts County Council.
Lot 2 and 3 will be single contractor Lots. For Lot 1, 3 Contractors will be appointed on a cascade system which is detailed in Appendix B.
The Contract is being let as 3 Lots:
Lot 1 — Maintenance of Urban Trees;
Lot 2 — Maintenance of Young Trees;
Lot 3 — Maintenance of Woodland Trees.
Due to existing contractual arrangements, Lot 2 will not commence until 1.11.2017.
