2 Contract Details

2.1 Title

Archaelogical Evaluation Works for Land at Halbeath, Dunfermline, Fife

2.2 Description of the goods or services required

Fife Council has been granted planning consent for a park and choose transport hub at Halbeath, Dunfermline. The Park and choose will be constructed on a green field site and Archaeological works are required as a condition of the planning consent.

The Contractor will be required to undertake a programme of archaeological investigative works for land at Halbeath, Dunfermline. The contractor will be required to prepare a Method Statement with details of the archaeological investigative works and the contractor must agree these with Fife Council’s Archeological Unit before proceeding.

All works must comply with the Institute for Archaeology’s Standards and Policy Statements and Code of Conduct and the Archaeology Service’s Standard Conditions. The full scope of the works are detailed in the tender documentation provided.
