The University of Sheffield is out to tender for innovative and customer facing professional consultants who will undertake Asbestos management surveys (HSG 264) of the Academic portfolio. The commission will represent Tranche 2 of the survey programme and will include the balance of academic buildings (circa 185,000 Sq. M).
Sample lead survey reports will not be accepted. All reporting will be at room and element level.
The commission will include the inputting of survey data into the University’s MICAD system.
The “Asbestos Consultancy” must be a UKAS accredited Inspection Body (ISO 17020) or Testing Body (ISO 17025) including an in house laboratory for the analysis of all bulk samples as well as being active in air monitoring and fibre counting or be able to demonstrate equivalent accreditation and capability.
Please note that the University of Sheffield will not accept the use of subcontractors at any time for the delivery of any asbestos survey or analytical work including bulk analysis.
This is a 2 stage procurement under the EU’s restricted procedure. The pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) which contains further information about the requirements can be downloaded by registering and expressing your interest on the University’s e-tendering system https://in-tendhost.co.uk/Sheffield. Completed PQQs must be returned through the same e-tendering system.

The closing date for return of PQQs is 22.6.2012 at 12 noon (UK time).
