CR105 Banking Arrangements

Description of the goods or services required

The State Hospitals Board for Scotland in common with other Health Boards is required to subject its non-tied banking services to competitive tendering.

The new arrangement will take effect from 1 July 2012 and a three year term is envisaged subject to the contents. This tender document outlines the banking requirements of the board.

All NHS Boards are obliged to maintain bank accounts at Government Banking Services Citibank into which their NHS income is received. The purpose of this tender is to secure banking facilities for the Boards’ non-tied accounts.

The following bank accounts are required:

Patients Fund Current Account

Patients Fund Investment Account

State Hospital Golf Club Current Account

The Patients Funds and State Hospital Golf Account are completely separate from all other accounts and are used for patients monies and club/association. It is essential that any cash balances on the Investment account earns good rates of credit interest.

It is essential that funds from the Patient Funds Investment Account is transferred to the Patient Funds Current Account on a daily basis to ensure that the Current Account is not overdrawn.
