Birmingham City Council has been regularly surveying adult resident views, priorities and levels of satisfaction since 2008. These Citizens Surveys have always been conducted independently, using face-to-face interviews and the samples chosen to reflect the broad makeup of Birmingham’s adult population. This has enabled Birmingham to have a consistent and reliable source of resident satisfaction data comparable over the last 9 years. The last survey was conducted in 2016/17 with 1,200 residents.
The council now requires a Citizens Survey for 2017/18, conducted on a representative sample of Birmingham’s resident population, using a door to door interview methodology. The survey must provide statistically reliable results for the city, and across each of the current 10 Districts and 40 Wards.
This contract is expected to commence in November 2017, with all fieldwork, analysis and reporting completed by 31st March 2018. There may be an option to extend the contract for the following year (2018-2019) subject to satisfactory performance.
