In January 2015 the Prime Minister announced he was accepting in full the recommendations of the Prime Minister’s Holocaust Commission. The recommendation included a programme to record and preserve the testimony of British Holocaust survivors and camp liberators.
In order to take this work forward, the Prime Minister has created the United Kingdom Holocaust Memorial Foundation (UKHMF) as an arms’s length body of the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG). On behalf of the UKHMF and funded by DCLG this Procurement is seeking to award a Contract to one (1) Contractor to capture and preserve the testimony of British Holocaust survivors and concentration camp liberators.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The Contractor shall be required to:
(a) film 85 — 100 Holocaust survivor and liberators’ testimonies in 3D and 6K digital film;
(b) digitally archive and future-proof the recordings;
(c) digitally archive and future-proof the recordings of 20 pre-existing testimonies owned by UKHMF;
(d) provide a complete typed transcription or each film; and
(e) provide each interviewee with a recording of their testimony.
The Contract shall be for a 10 (ten) month period with an option to extend by up to 6 (six) months if agreed necessary by both Parties. To note, no further funding will be provided for that extension period.
