Contract to be let in two parts:
Stage 1 Physical safeguarding works to stabilise the building whilst design development is undertaken. Design Development to RIBA Stage D. Timeframe anticipated Sept 2014 – Dec 2015
Stage 2 contract delivery on site. Commencing circa March 2017 subject to funding.
Proposed space includes basement for plant and store, first floor for cafe and community uses, 2 and 3rd floors for artisan workspace and a small interpretation centre in the restored tower on the fourth floor. Total building area circa 1 485 m2
