Tender opportunity

The London Borough of Sutton (Sutton Council) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified organisations for the provision of 1st floor extensions to increase accommodation at 2 schools through a design and build contract. Organisations may express an interest for carrying out the works at 1 or both schools, and if successfully short-listed to tender for both sites, will be given the option of providing a discounted price for both.

Site 1 — Cheam Fields Primary School — Includes the construction of two 1st floor classrooms and two breakout rooms to accommodate 60 existing children.

Site 2 — Robin Hood Junior School — Includes the construction of three 1st floor classrooms, a lobby area and toilets to accommodate 90 existing children.

Both contracts will be for a period of 10 weeks (site period) commencing June 2015.

The Council is tendering this contract through the London Tenders e-tendering portal, our preferred method of advertising and managing contract opportunities. Prospective Tenderers are advised to register their interest by going to https://www.londontenders.org/procontract/supplier.nsf

Sutton Council currently contracts with a diverse group of voluntary, statutory and private sector providers and encourages a range of organisations, regardless of size, to apply for this provision. We are committed to creating jobs and training opportunities through our supply chain.
A pre-qualification questionnaire is available on the portal which the Council shall evaluate to identify the short-listed suppliers to be invited to tender.
It is the opinion of the London Borough of Sutton that TUPE will not apply to this Contract.
The Council shall not be bound to accept the lowest cost or any tender. The award of contract shall be based on the most economically advantageous tender submitted.
Deadline for expressions of interest and submission of a completed pre-qualification questionnaire is noon on 16.1.2015.
