Description of the contract

The Wallace Collection, London, would like to invite expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced principal contractors to undertake the refurbishment of its largest, most prestigious gallery in the existing Grade II listed building. The refurbishment will include the reconfiguration of the roof structure and coverings, and of its massive ceiling and the air-conditioning plant. The works will be executed under a temp roof to protect the galleries below. There will be new wall silk, refreshed decoration and a new lighting scheme. The Collection will remain open to the public throughout the project. The contract value of the work is expected to be in the order of GBP £3,500,000. To take part in the tender, contractors should contact the contact point to request the PQQ. All applicants should be mindful of the closing date as specified. The Wallace Collection reserves the right to not award a contract under this Tender and will not be held responsible for terminating the process at any stage if necessary.
