This procurement seeks to secure the contracted supply of bulk vehicle fuel arrangements that meet current and future requirements. Fuel is a vital commodity which the Authority relies upon for use in its fleet vehicles and plant. The procurement of road fuel including bio-diesel and gas oil has been an ongoing requirement for many years.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The Council spends around 1 000 000 GBP annually on Bulk Fuel and Oil.
The Council consume nearly 1 000 000 litres of road fuel each year through its own fuel storage tanks. Storage tanks are located at Millfields depot, Hackney Marshes and Clissold Park. Approximately 80 % is standard road diesel, 16 % B100 biodiesel and 4 % Gas Oil.

1)Short description

This is a blended product, however the Council will not accept biodiesel manufactured from animal fats or tallow.
