Justification for a framework agreement, the duration of which exceeds four years: Continuity of existing work with ongoing projects within ICT department and Building teams that may exceed allotted time-lines and due to release of capital funding, etc.
To negate this the Trust will issue out the contract as a 36 month fixed term with 2 options to extend for a further 12 months to co-align with the above.

The supply of cabling services and the supply of relevant peripheral equipment (such as data and voice patch panels, data and voice outlets and fan trays) to meet the Trust’s business requirements.
As part of the Trust’s continued commitment, to maintaining a high standard of data, voice and clinical services, we have adopted an approach to ensure that our cabling infrastructure meets up-to-date specifications for an organisation of this size and complexity.
At this moment in time the current cabling infrastructure is a mixture of CAT3, CAT5 and CAT5e (Note that that CAT5e is current Trust standard not all of the mentioned), Ethernet, Single mode / multi-mode (62,5nm) fibre estate, which supports both voice and data services. The Trust also has an extensive wireless network in place, supported by the existing CAT5e cabling infrastructure.
(Please note that this information reflects the majority of the cabling infrastructure Trust wide, but not reflect older variations of Ethernet cable).

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: Following the expression of interest the Trust will be issuing out a PQQ to all interested parties, the Trust when short-list down to a maximum of 5 bidders to move onto the ITT stage.
The ITT stage will require the short-listed bidders to answer all questions (mandatory and weighted) stated within the specification, along with submission of a structured pricing schedule.
This will be further ratified with a separate exercise where the short-listed bidders will be invited into the Trust to carry out a BAU scenario, to ensure the costs fully cover scoping, product and labour.
