As an Adult Education Centre we primarily operate during school term time, although staff are here throughout the holidays, except Christmas when we close for 2 weeks.

The building is open from 8.15am-10pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.15am- 5pm on a Friday and occasional Saturdays.

The current cafe opening hours are 9am-3pm Monday to Friday and then 7pm-9pm Monday to Thursday. The occupancy rate fluctuates throughout the day and year depending on how many classes we have running. At maximum there can be 80 people approx on site and at the lowest just a staff count of 10.

We also have external bookings who use our facilities and do request refreshments from the cafe. This is arranged direct with the franchise and payment is made direct.

Take home figure provided from the current franchise owner was £12,000 last year, which is after all overheads have been deducted.

Rent will be paid to Sevenoaks Adult Education Centre at a rate of £20 a week. This is reviewed on a regular basis and is paid termly upfront.

Some of the equipment and stock can be bought from the current franchise owner or you can bring in.

There is not rate to pay at this site as it is covered by KCC itself.

The successful candidates can come in and set up from the beginning of September. Contracts are on a years rolling basis and notice can be given by either parties at a period of no less than 3 months.
