Cambridgeshire County Council, on behalf of Cambridge City Council, East Cambridgeshire District Council, Fenland District Council, Huntingdonshire District Council, South Cambridgeshire wishes to invite Tenders for the supply of services in respect of the Cambridgeshire County Wide Handypersons Service. The Successful Provider will be responsible for providing this service and liaising closely with a Contract Manager from Cambridgeshire County Council. There will be only one contract which will be signed by all of the Partnership Authorities as well as the Successful Provider.
The aim of the service is to enable people to live in their own home more safely and securely. The Handyperson Service is an important resource to enable independent living and create a safe environment through early intervention by an accessible and appropriate service. This can range from prevention of falls, reducing admission to hospital or care homes, to maintenance of a decent housing stock.
The declared budget for this service is 527 757 GBP for the initial 3 year contract (175 919 GBP pa). Potential Providers who intend to submit a bid are expected to fully utilise this budget with the aim of delivering as many Assessments and Home Safety Checks as possible for the budget available. Potential Providers must not submit bids above this total value.
This contract is for 3 years, with an option to extend for 2 years. The potential value of this contract is 879 595 GBP.
