St Helens CCG and St Helens Local Authority are jointly going out to procurement for CAMHS tier 2 services to enhance and improve the service model.
The new system will be characterised by a whole system approach offering a tiered level of provision: universal, targeted and specialist support. The service will be a single point of contact providing information and support to parents and professionals. Children will be screened as to the level of intervention required and care can be stepped up or down as appropriate.
The aim of the service is to improve mental health services and experiences for children and young people. The service will provide a comprehensive Tier 2 Targeted Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service. The service will be a flexible multi-disciplinary team that will include an integrated single CAMHS Tier 2 service point of access and triage service for T2 and T3 (step up facility) and include provision of training to build skills in universal services that support children and families.
