The GLA is seeking to let a contract to provide catering services at its locations, currently City Hall and Trafalgar Square. The scope of the contract is to provide a single contract consisting of the following services:
— Management of the Café on the Square, Trafalgar Square;
— Management of the Café at City Hall;
— A full hospitality service to internal and external clients as necessary in any of the Authority’s entertainment, meeting or office spaces;
— Provision of tea-point supplies in City Hall;
— Management of the sales and lettings of City Hall spaces and the Trafalgar Square Café to external clients;
— Management of the marketing of City Hall spaces and the Trafalgar Square Café, including the external websites;
— Providing catering services to both GLA staff and the general public.
This contract will be available to the GLA and functional bodies that fall under the GLA.

This section provides background information for bidders on the Provision of ‘GLA Catering Services at City Hall and Trafalgar Square’ to the GLA and tender being coordinated by Transport for London. Please refer to the technical specification in Volume 2 for further details on the nature of the works that are required.
Please note that the turnover for this contract is estimated to be between 10-13 000 000 GBP throughout the life of the contract, including any extensions excercised by the Authority. Please note these figures are only estimates.
The GLA requires a contract to be put in place for August 2016; TfL is conducting a competitive tender for this contract for a duration of 6 years with an option to extend by up to a further 5 years (2 + 2 + 1) at the sole discretion of the authority. Please note this contract is open to the GLA and any of its functional bodies.
