Provision of Catering Services for Knutsford Multi-Academy Trust, Middlewich High School, Poynton High School and Wilmslow High Schools, a single provider will be required to contract directly with all 4 schools.

The Contractor will be required to provide breakfast, a mid-day service, mid-morning snacks for the staff and students, and possibly other catering services (e.g. hospitality) which may differ by school. Note — the participation and process for this tender will be via the electronic tendering portal located atwww.the-chest.org.uk Please ensure you also refer to section VI.3) of this notice.

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SME’s). For the avoidance of doubt, the contracting authority points out that no weight will be attached to whether or not an economic operator is an SME in selecting economic operators to submit tenders or in assessing the most economically advantageous tender.

Provision of Catering Services, from April 2017, for an initial period of approx. 3 years and 4 months until 31.7.2020, with 3 x 12 month options to extend until 31.7.2021, 31.7.2022, and 31.7.2023 respectively.

The schools require a nutritious high quality, value for money catering service, which meets the needs of both customers and the schools. Please note that TUPE will apply and bidders will be required to agree to a pension bond in the form of an admission agreement, and must be able to service all 4 schools.

Cheshire East Borough Council will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into. The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI No 102) provides for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
