— South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to carry out a detailed survey of all surface water, foul water and combined drainage systems, to the whole of it’s housing stock (approximately 5 700 properties);
— In addition SCDC is may require maintenance and repair work to be carried out by the contractor associated with the drainage surveys.
The estimated contract value is based on the entire term 5 years.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to carry out a detailed survey of all surface water, foul water and combined drainage systems, to the whole of it’s housing stock (approximately 5 700 properties).
In addition SCDC is may require maintenance and repair work to be carried out by the contractor associated with the drainage surveys.
The purpose of the survey is to:
Accurately identify and record the position and condition of drains, and identify where drain repairs are needed.
It is essential that each survey provides the following information:
a) A clear and concise diagram of local buildings / landmarks which accurately identify the position of drains, whether damaged or otherwise;
b) Pipework material;
c) Depth of invert levels;
d) Manhole positions;
e) Direction of water flows;
f) Exact position of damaged drains;
g) Description of overall condition of the drain run;
h) Condition and construction of manholes;
i) Condition of manhole cover frame and bedding;
j) Manhole invert levels;
k) Communal drain details (if applicable);
l) Recommendations for repairs with quantities and costs based upon the schedule of rates;
m) Clear description of the damaged drain, with accompanying photo and CCTV evidence.
Please note the contract value is the estimated contract value over the entire 5 year term. The initial term will be for 3 years with the option to extend each and every year for a further 2 year term. The annual budget is anticipated to be 500 000 GBP, please note that this is subject to change and no volume or values can be guaranteed.

The contract is for an initial 3 year term with the option to extend each and every year for a further 2 year term.
