Awarding body Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council
|EST. START DATE:||12/10/2015|

The CCTV system is a valuable tool in the deterrent of crime and has assisted in crime and disorder falling by in Hinckley town centre throughout the last 10 years and in the Brough crime has fallen by 15.75%.
Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council first installed public CCTV cameras in 1998 and have added to this throughout the years. The original cameras are still in operation now and have become obsolete and very expensive to maintain.
Therefore we require 16 of our current CCTV cameras to be replaced with state of the art cameras.
Additional to this there is scope in the contract for the provision of a planned preventative maintenance schedule, as well as maintenance provision.
This will include, but not be limited to:
• Two planned maintenance visits per year, where cameras are inspected, tested, cleaned and this information is reported back for HBBC to instigate any repairs.
• Attending site to make repairs to the cameras as agreed with the Control Room and Town Centre Manager.
• Ensuring CCTV cameras are visited within 72 hours when a problem occurs and fault reported back to HBBC.
• Maintaining the monitoring equipment inside the CCTV control room, including, but not limited to CCTV monitors, Recording equipment, control desk and IT equipment.
