Warwickshire County Council (WCC), intends to re-tender the existing Framework Contract for the Provision of Engineering Construction Works 2014-2018 in preparation for its expiry on 31.12.2018. The Framework has operated successfully over its lifetime, with over 50 schemes ranging from 65 000 GBP to 7 000 000 GBP being delivered (to March 2018). WCC are seeking Suppliers to deliver civil engineering projects of excellent quality for a further period of up to a maximum of 4 (four) years.

It is envisaged that up to 6 (six) Suppliers will be appointed to each Lot and that Suppliers will be limited to 2 (two) Lots. Warwickshire County Council reserves the right to appoint more or fewer Suppliers than this number.

The anticipated value of works to be carried out in Warwickshire under this Framework Contract is estimated to be in the range of 45 000 000 GBP to 80 000 000 GBP (forty five million to eighty million pounds) over the expected 4 year contract period. Use of the Framework by other public bodies under separate back-to-back agreements may increase this value, although this option has not been used during the period of the current Framework. These values are given for guidance purposes only and do not form a contractual commitment. Warwickshire County Council can give no guarantees as to the volume or value of business to be procured within the life of this contract.

Type of work carried out under this framework contract:

Work packages under the Construction Framework will generally involve the construction of highway works, bridge maintenance works or the design and/or construction of structural works. Some other work packages will involve:

a) the design and/or construction of waste management works including household waste sites, waste recycling sites, waste transfer sites and the like;

b) the construction or the design and construction of agricultural buildings and associated infrastructure; and

c) the construction or the design and construction of other civil engineering and structural engineering works.

Warwickshire County Council will be using its e-tendering system for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. The web address is www.csw-jets.co.uk
