Cumbria County Council wishes to procure the services of a Service Provider for Building Cleaning Services at various properties across the County comprising offices, day care centres, libraries and archives, fire stations etc. The Council has in place an existing contract for cleaning services at Corporate Properties. This is due to be re-procured and TUPE will apply. At present there are around 150 properties within the existing contract, however this number will reduce over the next 3 years as the Council continues with a programme of consolidation of assets. It is intended that the restricted OJEU process is followed, with selection of tenderers following PQQ submissions. Invitations to tender will follow, with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 6 tenderers being shortlisted to proceed to ITT stage. This contract will be for an initial term of 3 years with a further possible extension of 1 year. Any extension will be at the sole discretion of the Council.
