Tamworth Borough Council (the ‘Council’) owns and manages approximately 4 300 domestic properties within the borough together with a number of non-housing premises. To ensure that it meets its statutory obligations under the relevant health and safety legislation, the Council is seeking to establish a contract for the provision of compliance management services that encompass the surveying and management of asbestos, legionella and fire risks within its housing, non-housing and sheltered stock. The resultant contract shall be for a term of five (5) years with an option to extend for a further two (2) years upon satisfactory service delivery, performance and the agreement of both parties.

This authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point that information on the award of contract is communicated to tenderers. If an appeal regarding the award of a contract has not been successfully resolved then the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland). Any such action must be brought within 3 months generally.
