There are currently 18 lifts within the NGS estate, installed and manufactured by a variety of different companies. A full lift asset register is included in the Tender Documents, which will be provided to those who are invited to tender.
The contract, being fully comprehensive, will cover all hardware, software and associated ancillary items. The full scope of the contract will be detailed in the Tender Documents which will be issued to those candidates who are successful at the Pre-Qualification Stage, and are subsequently invited to tender.
There are prerequisites for being invited to tender, and these are detailed in the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
The contract will initially run for three years, with the option to extend for a further three years at the end of this period. Any extension is not guaranteed, and will be dependent on several Key Performance Indicators, details of which will form part of the Tender Documents.
The estimated value of the Contract detailed in this notice is for the full 6 year period.

Value for the full 6 year period is estimated between 60 000 GBP and 80 000 GBP.
The annual value of the Contract will remain the same for the duration of the initial 3 year Contract, and for the duration of any extension(s).
No business whatsoever is guaranteed under any resulting Contract, indeed there is no guarantee that any Contract will be put in place in relation to this notice. No compensation etc. will be paid if a tender or resulting Contract is withdrawn for any reason.
Bidders should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand an accept this position.

Description of these options: There may be, dependent on contractor performance which will be measured using Key Performance Indicators, the option to extend the initial 3 year Contract on an annual year by year basis for up to a further 3 years.
