The Trust wish to enter into contract with a suitably qualified provider to develop an innovative and practical solution for:
‘The provision of a suitable Confidential Waste and On Site Shredding Service which is fit for purpose and complies with all relevant legislation, takes account of guidance and best practice, and is compliant with all Information Governance requirements — in the most efficient, cost-effective and timely manner’.
However, it is expected that any chosen provider will agree to a flexible service provision in order to meet the changing needs of the Trust during the contract.
The contract period will be for 5 years with break clause after year 3, depending upon the requirements of the Trust and subject to satisfactory performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The Trust wish to enter into contract with a suitably qualified provider to develop an innovative and practical solution for:
‘The provision of a suitable Confidential Waste and On Site Shredding Service which is fit for purpose and complies with all relevant legislation, takes account of guidance and best practice, and is compliant with all Information Governance requirements — in the most efficient, cost-effective and timely manner’.
However, it is expected that any chosen provider will agree to a flexible service provision in order to meet the changing needs of the Trust during the contract.
The contract period will be for 5 years with break clause after year 3, depending upon the requirements of the Trust and subject to satisfactory performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators.
It is envisaged that the key service requirements are to include, but are not limited to the following:
— Confidence in the provision of a safe, quality assured, reliable and cost effective Confidential Waste Management service in support of the Trust and any detailed health community activity;
— Confidential waste service provision will include, but is not limited to, the provision of locked and secure consoles, on-site shredding service, and tracking of waste though the cycle;
— Flexibility of service provision to meet present and foreseeable future demand;
— Conduct business to all required standards of Information Governance;
— Adherence to all current and known future legislation and mandatory requirements;
— Production of all relevant documentation including, but not limited to certificates of destruction and any legislative and regulatory requirement needed for evidence by the relevant Agencies;
— Meet all Duty of Care principles for Confidential Waste;
— Provide detailed billing including Trust wide analysis of service provision against cost.

Any supplier may be disqualified who does not respond to the following in the requisite manner:
(1) Supplying a profile in NHS Supplier Information Database (sid4gov) as part of their PQQ submission. The Contracting Authority has no influence in relation to the time period involved in the generation of a sid4gov profile, however, it understands that the process can take between 2 to 5 days and that these timescales may vary from country to country.
(2) The contracting authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any offer.
