North Ayrshire Council is committed to maximising Community Benefits from its procurement activities in order to build economic, social or environmental conditions into the delivery of Council contracts. Bidders are required to detail any Community Benefits associated with this framework agreement that they are prepared to deliver. The attached Supplier Guidance contains a menu of the type of Community Benefits that the Council is seeking and the attached Community Benefits Submission Template requires to be completed and submitted with your tender .
If there will be no Community Benefits, the bidder should state this in the submission. If there will be Community Benefits, the Tender Submission should include details of the type of Community Benefit, methodology for delivery of Community Benefits and named contact in your organisation for Community Benefits.
The Community Benefits response must be submitted with the tender submission in a separate folder named “Community Benefits Information”.
“Community Benefits Information” will not be evaluated or taken into consideration at the tender award stage beyond the requirement that a response is required in the bidder’s Tender Submission.
Where the Community Benefits Information contains any Community Benefits, these will be accepted by the Council via the contract variation process and will be enforceable as part of the contract. Accordingly, where a contract is awarded to a bidder whose Tender Submission included Community Benefits, the bidder will be required to deliver those Community Benefits as part of the contract.
We would draw your attention to the current range of employability schemes that our Economic Development service offers which can also be accessed by companies based out with North Ayrshire at the following link:

http://www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk/business/business-support/employment-and-training.aspx
