The National Library of Wales (NLW) wishes to procure the services of an experienced conservator to undertake conservation work on a number of Works on Paper held by NLW.
The contractor will be expected to supply suitably qualified staff, work on the premises of NLW and provide conservation treatment work on the Works on Paper and related conservation activities.
It is envisaged that the work will be a one year contract with possible extension for subsequent years.
The conservators who are successful in the PQQ will be invited to tender for the conservation works. This will involve attending the Library for a half-day in mid-June to assess the works to be conserved and to prepare a detailed conservation treatment report for one of the works, as selected by NLW. They will also prepare a schedule of prices for the works to be conserved in this programme.
With regard to the Library’s current regulations this PQQ will be placed on the BRAVO system of electronic tender. If you are not registered please go to the web site given below and follow the instructions; there is a free helpline number given on this site should you experience problems.
You can only submit your response via this site.
