The University is looking to appoint a consultancy team, under a lead management of one company, to advise on the construction of a new faculty at All Saints campus. The consultancy team will provide the following services to the University:
Project Management,
Quantity Surveying,
Mechanical and Electrical services,
Structural Engineering services,
CDMC services,
BREEAM assessment,
Specialist theatre consultancy,
Fire engineering services.
The University is already in the process of appointing an architect for the project.

The project comprises the decant and demolition of an existing building with retention of listed facade and portico and the construction of a new building that will include physical links into existing structures including basements. The new building will be approximately 8 900 m² and include the following accommodation to provide for a fit for purpose world class 21st century facility.

The building will have an opening and outward aesthetic to take advantage of the prominent corner location of the site fronting onto Oxford Road and should acknowledge precedents set by other recently completed new build projects across the campus.
Tiered theatre circa 230 capacity with back of house areas
Bar, cafe and open social/display spaces
Housing for the University Special Collections with reading, conservation and storage areas
Double height acting, voice and movement studios.
Humanities spaces including new language labs, journalism info and communication (info comms)
Offices and management administration spaces
The project is projected to be completed by June 2018.
The demolition will be managed by a different consultancy team.
At this stage, the proposed construction procurement of the new build is expected to be a two stage Design and Build, but will be determined in conjunction with advices from the Consultants during the early course of appointment.
