Description

The Early Years Service is seeking to engage with commissioning organisations to deliver continued professional development training to the early years and childcare workforce in Derby. The Early Years Service works proactively to raise the attainment of all children with a particular focus on narrowing the gap of the children in the lowest 20%.

Through effective use of data the Early Years’ Service has identified areas for continued professional development activities. The Council is therefore seeking to commission a training programme, which will provide practitioners and managers with opportunities to develop new skills and techniques to lead a childcare team and foster a culture of quality improvement leading to improved outcomes for all children.

Training is required to support leaders at different levels of management and is separated into the following 8 lots:

Lot 1 Leadership and management
Lot 2 Meeting the unique learning needs of boys
Lot 3 Inclusion and diversity
Lot 4 Teaching and learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage
Lot 5 The developing child
Lot 6 Personal, social and emotional development
Lot 7 English as an additional language
Lot 8 Effects of disadvantage and poverty on children

Suppliers may bid for one, all or a combination of Lots. Some Lots include the delivery of more than one training course. Where this is the case, the Supplier must be able to deliver all courses included within the Lot. Bids for part of a Lot will not be accepted.
