We intend to award a contract for The Design and Build of Tree Nursery Facilities.
This procurement follows a Prior Information Notice that was published in the Official Journal of the European Union reference 2014/S 203-358712.
The Forestry Commission’s Delamere Nursery currently has two sites, Lobslack and Old Pale, where tree seedlings and cuttings are grown in polytunnels. Each site has approximately 1.2 ha under polythene, in a variety of different sized tunnels. It is the intention to consolidate all our covered growing facilities at the Lobslack site, extending the area and amalgamating the 32 tunnels now at Old Pale into one large, multispan structure; modernising and upgrading the facilities in the process.
In addition, as part of business sustainability, there will be rainwater harvesting from the roof of the structure into a purpose-built lagoon. The lagoon is not part of this tender.
Before the return date, tenderers are invited to have a site visit so that they can complete their submission. Site visits will take place for 2 weeks from the 2.2.2015 and tenderers should contact Alan Harrison at email@example.com
