AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE SERVICE
The purpose of the service is to provide a low cost flexible transport provision to vulnerable adults and older people across the Rochdale Borough who would otherwise be unable to access services and support in the community outside of Adult Services Care Management and to enable people to maintain their health, wellbeing and independence.
The aim of this service is to develop an innovative approach in the delivery of transport to older people through building on the success of existing services (accessible transport scheme provided by Rochdale Community Transport and a Volunteer Driver Scheme provided by Rochdale Council for Voluntary Service) to develop a social transport service which provides a single point of access to transport for older people.
