The overall aim of the Household Goods contract as part of the Local Crisis and Prevention Fund is to deliver household goods to those in greatest need. The service elements to be provided are:
— Providing an easy to understand brochure from which Service Users can select products;
— Delivery of vouchers for household goods which are designed to protect against duplication for fraudulent purposes;
— Delivery of Household goods within 10 working days of an application being received by the Local Crisis and Prevention Fund provider;
— Fitting household goods items as needed;
— A fast track process for vulnerable service users;
— Value for money in arranging household goods;
— Value for money in the delivery of furniture packs;
— Quality products with at least a 12 month guarantee or warranty;
— Good customer care in arranging effective delivery of goods;
— Replacement of faulty goods without question.

The Provider is required to provide the council with face value vouchers including VAT to be used for the purchase, delivery and, where relevant installation/fitting/assembly of new household goods to the value of approximately GBP 950k including VAT per annum. The provider is required to redeem these vouchers against specific items of goods and ensure delivery of agreed items.

Regarding IV.3.4 requests to participate must be made by completion and submission of the invitation to tender which are available online. Expressions of interest and automatic invitation to tender will be available from 9.1.13 in line with the date specified in IV.3.4.4 and in accordance with the instructions set out in the invitation to tender. The Proactis portal will not allow a bid to be uploaded after the deadline has passed. Completed invitation to tender submitted by any means other than the Proactis portal before or after the deadline will not be considered. Bidders are advised to allow sufficient time to upload all documentation.
Applicants are advised that the Council is subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act). If an applicant considers that any of the information supplied as part of this procurement procedure should not be disclosed because of its commercial sensitivity, confidentiality or otherwise, they must, when providing this information, clearly identify the specific information that they do not wish to be disclosed and clearly specify the reasons for sensitivity. The Council reserves the right not to award any or part of this contract. No statement or thing contained in this notice or the tender documents or made or undertaken as part of the tender process is intended to or shall be taken as constituting a contract, agreement, warranty or representation between the Council and/or any other party (excluding a formal award of contract made by the Council or any formal express legal agreement).
