The Council has a requirement for a specialist arboricultural service in and around Oxfordshire. The Council is looking to appoint a number of Providers to carry out the requirements of all tree maintenance across the county. The tender exercise will comprise two lots, the first being specialist arboricultural works, this will involve working on some 880,000 trees situated on highway maintained land and properties within the county. This will form the largest part of the tender. The second lot will comprise of trees that fall within the category of non-specialist tree works that require no tree climbing.
The contract will consist of five areas/zones each relating to the districts within the county. Areas/zones will be awarded to Providers to operate in, in line with the Council’s environmental policy
The Council’s annual estimated spend is £600,000. Whist no business is guaranteed via a framework agreement, partners including academic centres, District Councils, Parish Councils, Town Councils within the County boundaries, Atkins & the NHS have expressed an interest in using this framework.
