Description of the contract
Digital Mark-Up Project A new in-court digital resulting solution for HMCTS will enable significant business change by introducing in-court, real-time resulting negating the need for back office staff to enter results post hearing. The project will be delivered via 2 main technical components: 1. The provision of a new digital user interface to input results in court (i.e. the subject of this DSF request); 2. The development of a technical interface, allowing results to be automatically sent to the existing HMCTS case management system known as ‘Libra’. This component will be delivered by the MoJ’s incumbent supplier. DMU will be delivered in 3 phases – i.e. Minimum Viable Products (MVP1). • MVP1 will deliver a Beta build that supports Summary Road Traffic Offences (dealt with on first hearing by proof in absence of guilty pleas) for testing in the Manchester and Salford Exemplar (MaSE). The business expectation is that MVP 1 will be deployed by end January 2015. • MVP 2 – as defined by project Business Product Owner, will deliver DMU screens for all offences which can be concluded at the magistrates’ court after guilty plea or trial and committal and sending to the Crown Court. The business expectation is MVP2 will be deployed for testing in MaSE by end March 2015. • MVP3 will deliver the end to end resulting solution and the business expectation is the solution will be ready to support a June to Sep 2015 National Deployment.
