Description

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire is recommissioning the CORE (Cope and Recover) Victim Service for Derbyshire, due to commence 1st April 2020.

The service currently delivered is available to all victims who are residents of Derbyshire and will address the individual needs of any victims. The service meets the requirements of the Ministry of Justice’s Code of Practice for Victims and the European Union Directive on Victims of crime.
The service aims to increase the safety and protection of victims and their families in Derbyshire.

The Commissioner’s vision and ambition is to reduce the number of victims, deliver positive outcomes for victims and communities, ensure equal access and increase the confidence and number of people coming forward for support and /or to report the crime to the police.

The generic service is defined as meeting the needs of all victims of crime that do not require an enhanced service. The current contract will include more specialist support to victims of Hate Crime and to victims of ASB.
Separate commissioning arrangements are in place for the following specialist services: Domestic Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Child Sexual Exploitation and Young People and these sit outside the scope of this service.

A market engagement event is being held at Derbyshire Constabulary Police Headquarters on Monday 12th August 2019, 10 – 12 noon. During this event we would very much like to hear from potential providers about the service/s currently available and any gaps which may require additional investment.

• Consider the important elements of victim services
• Tools/programmes and methods to deliver these elements
• Measurable outcomes and methods of measuring these
• Additional provision needed

If you are able to attend this event, please confirm the names of those attending by emailing pccoffice@derbyshire.pnn.police.uk by Friday 9th August 2019
