In response to central government policy they are acting collectively to appoint a Global Custodian to have custody of pension fund assets. The three funds are working together under the name of the ‘Northern Pool’.

Tenderers must be appropriately authorised to have custody of the assets of an occupational pension scheme for the purposes of the UK Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (as amended) or the equivalent law of a member state of the European Economic Area. Proof of authorisation must be provided.
