Hyde Housing Association Limited (Hyde) wishes to procure a Cyclical Maintenance and Servicing Framework Agreement pursuant to which it is envisaged that contracts will be let to contractors within the Framework for the provision of a range of services to Hyde’s housing stock.
The Framework Agreement will be divided into 4 Lots. Further details of these Lots and the services they each cover are set out in Annex B of this Notice.
The services covered by each Lot are to be delivered to Hyde residential properties and communal areas.
The proposed Framework Agreement will be in place for a maximum period of 4 years, however contracts called-off under the Framework Agreement may, where appropriate, continue beyond the 4 year term of the Framework Agreement.
Bidders should note that, under the Framework Agreement, Hyde shall not be under any obligation to call-off contracts with individual contractors.
Bidders are advised that the terms of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 may apply to the existing workforce employed by the incumbent contractors in relation to the services to be performed by the successful bidders under contracts called off under the Framework Agreement. Further information on TUPE will be provided at the tender stage of the procurement process.

The services to be provided under contracts called off under this Lot of the Framework Agreement include (but are not limited to) the following:
— passenger lift maintenance in blocks of flats and Hyde offices, periodic inspection / testing, servicing and breakdown maintenance. Services also apply to stair lifts within residents homes and communal areas,
— maintenance, periodic testing and servicing of bath hoists and other specialist lifting equipment within residents homes and communal facilities,
— eye bolt and safety line system (latchways etc) testing, servicing and maintenance.

— lightning conductor testing, servicing and maintenance,
— communal TV aerial system maintenance and minor upgrades,
— door entry and electrically powered gate servicing and maintenance,
— CCTV servicing and maintenance,
— fire safety maintenance, including testing, servicing and maintenance of alarm systems, emergency lighting, smoke vent systems & associated equipment,
— fire precaution testing, servicing and maintenance of extinguishers, hose-reels, sprinkler systems, hydrants/risers including minor upgrades,
— periodic electrical testing, including PAT testing and associated servicing and remedial works.
