It is estimated that circa 31,000km of private sewers have been transferred into Anglian Water ownership. It has been assessed that records held by Local Authorities within the Anglian region will provide coverage for approximately 67% of these assets with an expected capture rate from these records of approximately 54%.
There are approximately 60 Local Authorities which cover the Anglian Region holding an estimated 2 million records.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 1 300 000 GBP

Liaising with Local Authorities in the Anglian Water Region in order to collect, copy and collate (in electronic format) building control records that display information relating to transferred sewers and pumping stations.

There are approximately 60 Local Authorities which cover the Anglian Region holding an estimated 2 million records, in a variety of formats.

Experience of liaising with UK Local Authorities preferred.
Understanding of UK builing control records is essential, in order to ensure that only relevant information is collected.
Local Authorities may dictate that the capture of this information will have to take place on their premises, therefore mobile data capture capability is essential.
This element of the project will feed directly into the digitisation process, therefore it is essential that it is completed first, hence only allowing 9 months.

Interpretation, translation and entry of the relevant sewer information from the building control records into Anglian Water’s corporate GIS system (Intergraph G-Technology).

This activity will run concurrently with the data collection and scanning lot.
Knowledge of GIS, preferably Intergraph’s G-Technology sytstem, would be advantageous.
