Description of the contract

The aim of the project is to acquire a computational facility, able to support such research projects that emerge from the University’s Centre for Doctoral Training in Next Generation Computational Modelling (http://www.ngcm.soton.ac.uk). The purpose of the facility is to; 1) Provide access to a large memory space for visualisation and analysis of large datasets. 2) Provide an environment in which a large number of small virtual machines (~100) can be created to enable students to experiment with new software and approaches.
