The Supplier will supply, install and test Category 5e, Category 6 UTP, and fibre optic data network cabling at the Authority’s premises, including logging, tracking, scheduling, and reporting requests for work.

Structured cabling will comprise some or all of the following:
— Structured UTP cabling, providing a single 10 / 100 / 1000 BaseT UTP Category 5 Enhanced cable from each RJ45 wall outlet to RJ45 patch panels, rack mounted in cabinets.
— Main distribution frame with the secondary distribution points (cabinets).
— Communications cabinets, located at key positions, for housing patch panels and all main active equipment and circuit NTUs (e.g. ISDN lines, or WAN circuit terminations).
— Cable PVC mini-trunking to the user outlet but not bulk containment such as basketwork, tray work etc.).
Fibre cabling will comprise some or all of the following:
— Optical fibre cabling (including termination).
The term of the contract will be 3 years, with 2 extension periods of 2 years each (to give a minimum duration of 3 years, and maximum of 7).
