If an individual has multiple areas of responsibility then they may appear in multiple databases (for example, where the Head of Corporate Services also has the remit for Human Resources). For that reason categorised databases have been created to enable users to efficiently sort the contents of the databases according to specific need. For those that wish to implement comprehensive marketing campaigns reaching as many influential decision-makers as possible databases with a single entry per person are also available.

Job Title and Responsibility

Since job title alone is not necessarily the best means of determining an individual's responsibilities, we have implemented verification of the job description as well as the job title into our updates procedure, so that we can attain the most accurate individual profile reasonably possible.

Quality versus Quantity

In general, the Government Online Database remains at a constant level of 35-40,000 contacts across all given databases. Though it would be quite an easy matter to double the size of the entire database, our is to focus solely on those we determine are key decision-makers – either on a managerial or a technical level. Those are the individuals who will determine the practical implementation of government policy, and therefore it is these individuals who have the greatest impact on procurement and supplier-buyer relationships. It should be noted that purchasing contacts are included within this category, because of their direct effect on how a commercial transaction is processed.
