Derbyshire County Council is seeking tenders from organisations experienced in the provision of catering services in both a residential care home setting, which includes the development of a commercial bistro, and day care setting. In particular, the Council would like to receive tenders from organisations that are registered as a Supported Employment organisation that employ workers under ‘supported employee’ status.
The tender will be split into the following 2 lots:
Lot 1 — Staveley Residential Community Care Centre;
Lot 2 — Outlook Day Services.
Potential providers are invited to tender for 1 or both lots.
PLEASE NOTE The Contract for the provision of catering services at Staveley Residential Community Care Centre (Lot 1) will commence on 1.12.2015 and the contract for the provision of catering services at the Outlook Day Services (Lot 2) will commence on 29.10.2015.

II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:

The contract will require the provision of catering services in both a residential care home setting, which will include the development of a commercial bistro, and a day care setting. The tender is split into the following 2 lots:
Lot 1 — Staveley Residential Community Care Centre;
Lot 2 — Outlook Day Services.

Each lot will have a guaranteed minimum volume. In the case of Lot 1 this is an average of 75 % occupancy for the residential home, equating to 168 full days meals each week. In the case of the Day Centre, which is presently open Monday to Friday with an average of 10 meals a day, the minimum guaranteed volume is 20 meals a week. In the case of Lot 2 the guaranteed minimum volume for the 1st year will be 175 meals a week.

The contract is for a fixed term period of 2 years, with the option to extend for 2 further periods of 12 months.
The expected annual spend on Lot 1 is 130 000 GBP per annum, and on Lot 2 is 72 000 GBP per annum. The total spend on both Lots over the maximum life of the contract, including options, is estimated to be 808 000 GPB.

Staveley Residential Community Care Centre is a purpose built 32 bed residential care home, with day care facilities. Derbyshire County Council is seeking tenders from organisations experienced in the provision of catering services in a residential care home setting, which in this case includes the development of a bistro that is available to the local community and expected to operate on a commercial basis.

Outlook Day Services is a resource primarily designed to provide services that can respond to the needs of people with learning disabilities. Derbyshire County Council is seeking tenders from organisations experienced in the provision of catering services in a day care setting. One of the aims of the catering service at Outlook Day Service is to promote employment and training opportunities for people with a learning disabilities.
