Description of the contract

The NET.WORK is the BFI’s UK-wide approach to discovering and supporting new and emerging filmmaking talent. The BFI Film Fund is delegating significant funding from its annual budget so that the UK’s screen agencies can provide a ‘hands on’ and ‘joined up’ talent development offer throughout the UK. Additional awards by the Film Fund to companies and organisations (such as Aardman Animation and 104 Films) will deepen and expand the NET.WORK with targeted support for specific types of filmmaking and filmmakers. The online platform for NET.WORK will act as the main hub to connect the partners for the entire NET.WORK, as well as providing new filmmakers and writers with a completely new way of getting their work seen by NET.WORK and Film Fund execs, other industry practitioners, and peers. This tender seeks to identify a digital partner, to deliver a pilot version of the NET.WORK platform. We are already working with an agency to deliver the discovery phase of the project. We are looking for partners who understand our needs, can work with the existing work delivered in the discovery phase and who can rapidly deliver the second release of the platform by September 2014.
