The Co-operative Councils Innovation Network (CCIN) is a national network currently comprising of 23 local authorities who are committed to finding better ways of working for, and with, local people for the benefit of their local community. CCIN membership is from across the UK including local authorities from the following areas: Bassetlaw, Cardiff, Croydon, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Islington, Knowsley, Lambeth, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Norwich, Oldham, Plymouth, Rochdale, Salford, Sandwell, Southampton, Stevenage, Sunderland, Telford & Wrekin and York.

CCIN members believe that the unprecedented challenges facing the public sector and local communities mean that traditional models of ‘top-down’ governance and service delivery are no longer fit for purpose. The Network is keen to foster a new approach, and that the founding traditions of the co-operative movement – collective action and co-operation, empowerment and enterprise – offer a foundation for fresh and innovative solutions to help tackle the challenges of today in genuine collaboration with communities.

The Co-operative Councils Innovation Network will provide input into the debate on how to provide sustainable solutions to the service challenges facing local authorities and communities. The CCIN will help develop and improve outcomes for local communities by enabling members to develop and incorporate radical innovation in their approaches to policy and practice, sharing best practice and learning, and enabling innovators to chart new territory together.

The CCIN is seeking a provider to support further development, growth and the operations of the Network. The tender specification is available below and it is vital that bidders demonstrate their relevant experience in meeting all these requirements.
