The Council wishes to establish a contract with a single provider for the provision of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs) assessments, to be undertaken by qualified Best Interest Assessors.
The provider will undertake the management, administration and assessment of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard applications to the standard prescribed by the DoLS Code of Practice, to ensure the City Council meets its responsibilities under the Mental Capacity Act 2015.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs) assessments, to be undertaken by qualified Best Interest Assessors.
An average of between 30 – 50 assessments per month, 360 – 600 per annum.

Contract Start and Expiry – 1.4.2019 to 31.3.2021 (2 years)
Extension Option Available – An option to extend for a further 2 years on a 1 + 1 basis, to 31.3.2023 (to a maximum of 4 years).
