Derbyshire Adult Care are inviting tenders from organisations experienced in the provision of dementia services. The dementia support service will support people living with dementia and their carers to access appropriate and timely information and advice. The service will also maintain and develop a range of peer support groups for people with dementia and their carers across all areas of Derbyshire.

The contract is for a fixed term period of 2 (two) yrs with the option to extend for 3 periods of 12 months. The expected annual spend by the council is 422 000 GBP per annum and 2 110 000 GBP over the maximum life of the contract, including extensions.

Derbyshire County Council will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar days standstill period at the point the information on the award of contract is communicated to tenderers. This period allows unsuccessful tenders to seek further debriefing from the contracting authority before the contract is entered into. If an appeal regarding the award of the contract has not been successfully resolved the public contracts Regulation 2015 allow for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or at risk of harm by a breech of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
